Visit Parley Lake Winery for a truly unique experience. They pay attention to the details of the decor. Look anywhere and you will feel like you escaped to a rustic farm, from the barn tasting room built in 1888 to the art filled landscape.
Another thing to note is that Parley Lake Winery wines are all crafted with Minnesota cold hardy grapes. They have 7 acres of vineyard with a variety of cold hardy grapes. Which makes buying wine from them a great way to support a local Waconia, Minnesota farm!
My husband and I enjoyed our time so much between the music, the wine, and relaxing outside that we didn’t take as many pictures as we wanted to.
Don’t miss… Parley Lake Winery plans on adding wine from Itasca grapes to the tasting menu in 2020. I guess it just gives us a reason to go back to grab more wine and pictures to share with you!
Wine Tasting
A tasting is $12 for a flight of three tastings and a full pour. Or if you have a Winery Passport, enjoy a free tasting of three wines and get a discount on a glass of wine.
I really enjoy a winery that has a small wine tasting menu. I can easily try all their wines making it easier to find my favorites. This way I know which bottle(s) of wine to buy.
The day we went to taste wine they were offering 6 different wine tastings. We ended up buying 2 bottles; Frontenac Gris (aromas of apricot and citrus; medium dry) and Marquette (touch of cherry and hints of oak).
Fun Fact: In their first year they were open for commercial buying they sold out of their La Crescent in just 2 days!
