($32, 13% ABV, Schram Vineyards Winery & Brewery)
Marquette is Minnesota’s grape with a black fruitiness to it. This Marquette wine from Schram Vineyards has a plum and black cherry fruit flavor and a nice balance of oak.
If you remember, over a month ago, I had written about a Marquette from Parley Lake Winery also located in Waconia, MN. That Marquette wine was similar to this one but without the plum flavor.
I always enjoy comparing similar wine varieties and seeing the difference in each one.

This Marquette wine is an award winner and top seller for Schram Vineyards, so much so that it has sold out. They do however have some available in a few liquor stores. We so happened to come across a 2015 Marquette in our local liquor store. Schram Vineyards also has a Marquette Reserve that may be worth trying and then comparing the two together.
